
On top of the dome, a large open-air gazebo was added a few years later. There one can relax and view the beautiful Missoula Valley to the north and part of the Bitterroot Valley to the south.

It's unfortunate that some other earth sheltered home owners around the world have not completed their landscaping, the most beautiful feature of the earth-centered home.
Still, the most advanced book available on the subject is "Passive Annual Heat Storage, Improving the Design of Earth Shelters." This 1983 text is still quite up to date as it teaches the basic methods of understanding natural heat flow methods that never change.
